User friendly might be the best way to describe the Glen Meadows layout. This charming , easy to walk, relatively flat course has something for everyone. The course has been in operation for 40 years. You'll be met by wide expansive fairways, towering oak trees and two small lakes tempting your shot making. Prior to or after your round, sharpen up your game on the full length practice area. If you need more of a challenge than golf, Glen Meadows also offers a full tennis facility and curling during the winter months.
If in the past few years you've opened the bank to buy an expensive, titanium,
oversized, guaranteed to hit the ball further driver - use it at Glen
Meadows! This is a wonderful straight ahead golf course. Hit the ball
a sizable distance, look at a long to mid iron to the green and you have
the chance to score well. The best hole on the front nine is the par four
third hole. You can see the flag stick from the tee - so what the big
deal, right? Play it and see. This hole needs only about a 225 yd. drive,
but where you hit is key. Everything on this hole slopes left. Drift your
tee shot anywhere left and you'll be saying " Hello trees."
Even with your approach shot, keep things to the right and the ball will
bounce left towards the hole. did I mention two ball-absorbing bunkers
to the left of the green? Get away with two putts and thank your lucky
stars. This is a good golf hole.
Glen Meadows in years past has
been the western destination for the Canadian Professional Golf Tour Qualifying
School. Restaurant and conference facilities provide full services for
150 people.
The fully stocked pro shop offers: Taylor Made, Powerbilt, Titliest, Ashworth,
Antigua and Foot Joy.
