Sorry, but there is no bridge to get here, meaning transport via water
or air are the only ways of getting to our island. Two bodies of water
separate Vancouver Island from the U.S. and mainland B.C. Juan de Fuca
Strait separates Vancouver Island from the Washington State to the south.
To the east, Georgia Strait is the stretch of water holding back the mainland
of the province.
The mountains visible to the south of Victoria are the famed Olympic
Mountains. The majesty of these mountains is evident by the almost year
round snow cover, even in the warmest part of summer. The one visual landmark
that stands out in Washington state is Mount Baker. This active volcano,
north of Seattle is an overpowering sight from the Canadian side. Many
area golf courses will have this magnificent mountain in view.
Via Water - as either a foot passenger or using your vehicle:

A Word of Advice: If you're traveling in a vehicle
and have time on your hands, consider making the trip from Victoria
to Port Angeles, Washington and make the drive along the gorgeous Olympic
Peninsula to Seattle. There are great golf courses and many fine places
to visit and stay. Don't be in too big a hurry to get to Seattle if
time allows.
